A Shabby Chic Wedding at The Conservatory at Waterstone
Simply put, Megan & Cody’s wedding was anything but simple. It was full of laughter, life, and dancing. Yes, it was the memories that made it special, but it was the details made it fabulous. So, let’s start there. This wedding was definitely not lacking in the floral department. There were flowers EVERYWHERE. It was so colorful and pretty. The bridal party was wearing matching silk, floral robes as they got ready and they each carried a miniature rose bouquet down the aisle in their beautiful, icy blue bridesmaids dresses. Flowers adorned the reception plates, the wedding cake, and the wedding invitations. More about that wedding cake, though. It was a masterpiece with watercolor roses painted across the frosting and big roses placed around its edges.
Megan looked beautiful in her lacey, buttons down the back, white dress and Cody’s blue grey suit complemented her wedding dress nicely. The Conservatory in North Georgia was the perfect host for their shabby chic reception where everyone danced and celebrated Megan & Cody tying the knot. Most notably, Megan’s dad was hilarious. He requested “Kung Fu Fighting” and danced like he was an actual warrior. It was the best.
The most memorable moment, though, was when Cody & Megan had their first look. Cody kept trying to get a peek at Megan in her dress and Megan’s mom was blocking him. When he did see her, he was overwhelmed by his emotions. It was super touching.
The wedding was beautiful, but are you wondering how the bride and groom met?
A Confetti Themed Piedmont Park Engagement
Megan & Cody met in high school and have been in love ever since! When they got engaged, they asked me to be their engagement photographer and I was thrilled. Megan had the idea to turn the create a confetti themed engagement shoot and just like their wedding, it was colorful, fun, and full of joy!
