When Megan and I first began discussing where she wanted the engagement session to be (I’m sure Cody was giving his silent approval beside her), her exact words were “what do you think of like a fun, playful sweet type of shoot? …I think it would be really cool to have some type of prop or “fun” thing that we do!“. And honestly, she had me at FUN and PROPS. After a little more discussion, we ended up with a Confetti Themed Piedmont Park Engagement!
So I will say the thing a photographer should never admit. The session didn’t go exactly as planned. A couple of things got in the way like thunderstorms and a certain Dogwood Festival that I had to avoid in this engagement session as well. We actually had to move their session to the day before because of the imminent rain! But these two were absolute troopers and total rockstars! They stuck through the heat and the growing humidity like the champs they are! We started over by the pond because, in all honesty, that is where the best shot of the Atlanta skyline is with the fewest people!
While capturing all of the iconic scenes for their Piedmont Park Engagement, we even managed to get some gorgeous shots with the both of them near some dogwoods. Then, it was time for the pièce de résistance. These two high school sweethearts got to toss some confetti! While poor Cody unfortunately got the most of it due to a mischievous wind, I think the photos came out quite amazing, don’t you?
To Megan & Cody
