The leaves at Kennesaw Mountain Park were too gorgeous for this Fall engagement session!
I really loved shooting Marla and Peyton’s engagement session at Kennesaw Mountain Park. They chose a beautiful weekend in November to do it too since the leaves had completely changed colors! Peyton and Marla met working together at the CDC where Marla trained him since he was the new “nugget” on the team. After spending some time with him, they both found out that there was something more to their relationship. Their first date was at Marla’s home. According to her, this was where she made the world’s toughest pork chops. They ended up having a frisbee contest to see who could throw theirs the farthest and have been together ever since.
Marla and Peyton are avid gamers, and one of their favorite pastimes to pack their daughter up to go catch some Pokemon in Pokemon Go. This past Cinco De Mayo they ended up traveling to Savannah & Tybee Island to visit the beach and play some of their favorite game. Before heading out, Marla made them wait to charge her phone a little more so she can keep playing and meanwhile Peyton is panicking. He wanted to get to the pier for the sun went down for some amazing light for the proposal! Once they made it to the pier, Peyton asked a nice lady to take a picture of their little family and that is when he got down on one knee and proposed! In Marla’s own words, “He surprised the crap out of me (and the lady taking the pictures) as he got down on one knee with Lena still in her carrier on his back and asked me to marry him”.
Marla & Peyton, your engagement session was so fun and I cannot wait to capture your wedding day in January 2019!
