March 2019 Powersheets

Mar 20, 2019

Looking back over February, I definitely made some strides towards my goals. But the main thing that I focused on was:

“Work from a place of Rest, not Hustle”

Ashlyn Carter

The main thing that February brought was an entire month free of client work. I helped friends out, caught up on work, and did some activities that stretched my creative skills. Okay. I know what you are thinking. Heather, you didn’t do client work? WHY? Because I needed a recharge. I don’t have the luxury of relaxing as many other full-time photographers do. I love what I do and in order to keep that fire alive, I have to put restrictions on myself so I can remind myself why I do what I do. It’s kind of like eating too much candy. It’s great when you start out, but if you eat too much at once, you get sugar overloaded!

Plan 4 Working Sessions – I got halfway through this. I ended up just having more working sessions by myself rather than trying to find people to work with.

Have ME time! – no… but I did catch up on housework. That counts right?

Drink Water – I’m not very good at marking it down, but I definitely did this alot!

15 min tidy around the house – I did this twice, but I did get a deep clean done!

3 x per week have a 30 min workout – I was actually doing pretty well at this. Until my day job stepped in and asked me to work late for two weeks in a row.

My March Goals

But first, let me explain this month’s quote. Lately, I have been resenting my situation, and I knew I was being idiotic for it. I couldn’t think of a quote that would describe what I’m feeling, so I did what any average girl would do. I searched for it in Pinterest. And that was where I saw it. It is probably the silliest quote you have ever heard, but hit to the core of what was going on. My situation isn’t the problem. It is my attitude! As soon as I read it, it was like a bolt of lightning came down. I knew I needed it to be my March inspiration.

And now for my goals for March!
