BEAUTIFUL FARMHOUSE WEDDING
The first weekend of November was filled with love and joy as Alexis and Joseph became husband and wife! I am thrilled to be sharing some of my favorite moments from their beautifully romantic John Oliver Michael House wedding!
SWEET BEGINNINGS AT UGA
Alexis and Joseph first met through the campus Christian ministry the summer Alexis graduated from UGA. Joseph was hosting a summer bible study at his house, and the two became friends. Joseph asked Alexis on a date outside of Athens near the famous Iron Horse statue, and the two have been inseparable ever since!
Alexis and Joseph are huge UGA football fans and can be found cheering on their alma mater for every game. They love finding good food and trying new Athens restaurants. This sweet couple makes every day an adventure together, especially enjoying walks to the local Spanish grocery store for popsicles – yum!
HOW HE ASKED
Joseph played a little trick on Alexis when he proposed! He told Alexis he had run out of gas right near the spot where he had first asked her on a date. Alexis filled up a gas tank and went to rescue him, where Joseph pretended to fill his tank and then asked Alexis to take a walk with him. They reminisced about how special the location was in their love story and then Joseph proposed! As Alexis remembers, “it was incredibly sweet and sentimental. He had even written me a letter to read because he knew I would never remember some long speech and letters are some of my favorite gifts!” The two finished the night by ringing the Chapel Bell on the UGA campus! Ringing the bell is a time-honored tradition to celebrate when something amazing happens!
A GORGEOUS FALL WEDDING IN GEORGIA
The day of Alexis and Joseph’s November wedding was gorgeous! Alexis and Joseph each spent the morning getting ready separately with their family and closest friends. Alexis posed for beautiful bridal portraits surrounded by greenery and her joy was COMPLETELY contagious! Joseph smiled excitedly during his groom portraits as well, so thrilled for the moment when he would finally see his beautiful bride!
ALEXIS & JOSEPH’S NORTH GEORGIA WEDDING CEREMONY
Alexis and Joseph’s outdoor Georgia wedding ceremony was picture perfect! The emotion and excitement when Alexis and Joseph first saw each other was SO sweet. During the ceremony, they took a quick moment and stepped aside to pray over their marriage. I love that they started their marriage by spending a quiet moment together and blessing their future together.
ROMANTIC WEDDING DAY PHOTOS
Following their lovely wedding ceremony, Alexis and Joseph took some time alone on the picturesque John Oliver Michael House grounds, basking in their new beginning and posing for beautiful wedding portraits. They soon joined their bridal party, celebrating their wedding day with confetti and smiles!
BEAUTIFUL JOHN OLIVER MICHAEL HOUSE WEDDING RECEPTION
Alexis and Joseph’s John Oliver Michael House wedding reception was an absolute blast! The couple’s friends and family joined them in celebrating with fun, music, and a gorgeous cake! Alexis and Joseph’s guests showered them with bubbles when they exited their reception – the two laughed and kissed as they dashed through hundreds of floating bubbles!
After their Northern Georgia wedding reception, Alexis and Joseph traveled back to UGA in order to ring the bell at their alma mater. It was the PERFECT way to end the night and celebrate the beginning of their marriage!
