Jamie and Tarun met in graduate school at Georgia Tech. They fell in love over chicken & waffles and long debates over who was more right in their current disagreement. I had the honor and privilege of documenting their Piedmont Park Elopement, and I’m unbelievably excited to show it to you!
Their perfect day started out with a little bit of confusion around parking. Unfortunately, Piedmont Park’s parking lot was full (or so we thought)! On a happier note, it was a lovely day and the Georgia Spring heat finally made its appearance! Everyone was so grateful that it was a beautiful day. Because leading up to it, the weather was quite temperamental and no one really knew what to expect! After figuring out where to park and then walking over to the ceremony site, we began the ceremony.
Jamie was a vision in her mother’s dress (with some slight alterations) and when she came down the aisle in their simple ceremony, you could see that Tarun thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world. They said their vows, with a couple of references to crossing the Bifrost together, and they were married!
Once the ceremony and family portraits were completed, we began the “Just Married” portraits! This is my favorite part of the day and what made it better, was a special surprise arrived during the portraits! Jamie’s parents surprised the newly weds with an amazing getaway car to their reception, the Ramblin’ Reck of Georgia Tech! Everyone wanted a photo with the car, and as an avid Georgia Tech fan, I was happy to oblige!
Surrounded by close friends and family, Jaime and Tarun’s simple and sweet Piedmont Park Elopement concluded with the newly weds riding off in the Ramblin’ Reck of Georgia Tech! Congratulations to the happy couple!
