When Amanda, Billy, and I had our first call, I knew from the get-go that this was a special couple. Amanda is a teacher (just like my mom!) and we immediately hit it off talking about everything about their wedding. After that, we started planning her engagement session and she told me that she wanted me to come to Charleston! You guys I almost SWOONED (Yes, that’s still a thing. Don’t judge). Then, to make my heart pitter patter even more, they told me they wanted to have it at the Battery at White Point Garden! This a breathtaking park is in the middle of downtown Charleston. To make it even better, it opens to a giant bay that then opens directly to the Atlantic Ocean!
Amanda and Billy are a rare kind of couple. They were able to make a long distance relationship work! They first met through her college roommate, and had a two year long distance relationship! Billy residing in Charleston and Amanda living in Myrtle Beach! She finally came to join him in Charleston and even found a wonderful job teaching third graders. When Billy proposed to her, he took her to the restaurant that they met at and even made sure they sat at the same table! Then they went to the waterfront park where they walk all the time. It was a day that Amanda will surely never forget!
From the bay that opens to the Atlantic to cobblestone alleyways, Amanda and Billy’s White Point Garden engagement session was one for the books!
Their engagement session backdrop couldn’t have been in a more beautiful place. As a history buff, I love old town architecture and downtown Charleston is definitely full of it! We wandered all over the Battery at White Point Garden and captured so many wonderful images of the two of them.
Amanda and Billy,
Thank you for a wonderful time in Charleston and I can’t wait to see you guys next year at Alhambra Hall!
