I was overjoyed when I was able to help Mary Rose and Thomas carry out their micro-scale Cathedral of Christ the King wedding (thanks COVID). Even the sun was happy to have them get married because I remember it was one of those HOT and HUMID Georgia days. And let’s not forget the surprise party their friends threw for them! But more on that later.
I had first met Mary Rose and Thomas at their Sope Creek Mill Ruins engagement and learned very quickly that they were an adorable couple. And after meeting their family at the Cathedral of Christ the King on their wedding day, I believed it 1000 times more! Everyone there knew it was still a big event even if it was a small attendance (again, thanks COVID).
The Surprise Party
Her friends coordinated a surprise party at Duck Pond after their portrait time. It was so sweet. They brought snacks and champagne, and they had a little picnic while waiting for them. We almost ended up missing them because we were on the other side of the park and one of their friends had to come running over to grab us before we left. Thankfully we made it and their friends got to see both of them on their wedding day.
Mary Rose and Thomas, I am honored that I got to capture your big day and so thankful for the friendship I gained with the two of you!
