A Garden Inspired Wedding at The Chimneys at Big Canoe
When I first spoke with Sara Kathryn and Daniel before their wedding day, they told me that they wanted their Chimneys at Big Canoe Wedding to be simple, elegant, and, most importantly, to revolve around their new big, happy family. And I’m happy to say they got exactly what they wanted! What really freed up their wedding day for family focused time was that they had a first look. By doing this, they were able to have an intimate, private moment before the whirl of the wedding day, and still see and hangout with everyone who came to the wedding without sacrificing any time after the ceremony.
After a beautiful ceremony under the trees and the Chimneys, Sara Kathryn, Daniel, and their guests went inside and ate a wonderful dinner, ate some cake, and enjoyed some wonderful time together. While they ate, the wonderful event staff quickly flipped the outside area into a dance floor under the twinkling lights of the trees at the Chimneys at Big Canoe. It was so romantic looking.
Want to know my favorite part of their Big Canoe Wedding Day though? Since Sara Kathryn and Daniel had an early afternoon ceremony and reception, we were able to go over the Big Canoe Clubhouse for some wonderful golden hour photo time! If you didn’t know, I’m a sucker for beautiful golden light, and the scenic mountain view in the distance is just the icing on the cake.

Thank you both for letting me be apart of your wonderful day. I’m glad that you put your faith in me when I said that photos after the reception would be a great idea. I love how they turned out and I hope you do too!
