Hiking around for this Lullwater Creek Engagement was more fun than I have had in awhile!
I will say though, we initially started out super behind. Maggie and I were frantically texting each other trying to decide if we should continue because the rain clouds couldn’t decide what they wanted to do! First, it was supposed to rain that day. Then, it wasn’t. BUT THEN, we show up to the trailhead and it starts pouring!
Thankfully, the shower ended up being one of those famous Georgia showers that blow away as quickly as they come. Once we were sure the rain was gone, we let the dogs out for some play time. I love capturing dogs with a more natural lifestyle approach. Pets don’t always behave the best by smiling at the camera nonstop. Sometimes you have let a dog be a dog and chase around whatever it can find, in this case it was a ball. I made sure that Maggie & Patrick were involved in the dogs’ playtime and Patrick jumped at the opportunity. Soon after though, Patrick’s parents showed up to be the dogs’ caretaker for the hike and we were on our way.
Dogs always make sessions more fun, especially for this Lullwater Creek Engagement!
We ended up taking the shortcut path and that had us only walking about a mile versus the 2 miles it could have been. Along the way, Maggie told me about how Patrick proposed to Maggie on Kennesaw Mountain, which is where he said he loved her for the first time! Isn’t that the sweetest thing?!? She also told me about how Henry and Maximus became apart of their lives. Henry (the shepherd in the photos) came from the Etowah animal shelter, and Maggie said that it was a “long story, but it ends with a happy ending”. And I completely agree with that. Henry loves his parents and you can see that with the big grin he has on his face all of the time. Maximus came from a friend of a friend and ended up being a great buddy for Henry, who sometimes missed four legged companionship.
A big thank you to Maggie & Patrick for such an enjoyable session. You guys are both wonderful and I wish you the best with your marriage!
